From the sea to the mountains.
From the forest to the desert.
From the deepest ravine
To the steepest cliff
Our journey is long and varied.
No one can take another's road
It is ours alone to travel,
But the aloneness is never lonely
For we are watched over and guided.
Gently nudged in the most favourable direction.
Not the easiest direction, but the direction
Which presents the challenges
Necessary for our growth and learning.
We may find a place to rest awhile,
To assimilate and digest our experiences.
But then the next bend in the road
Awaits the eager traveller.
There are so many places to visit.
Take a side path now and then
To add more colour and enrichment.
You will be led gently back to your wider road.
Life is but a journey and whether
It is long or short, fast or slow,
It is yours alone, the terrain
Mapped especially for you.
No time for regrets and misgivings
The road leads ever onwards
And always more opportunities present themselves.
